Sukma District of Chhattisgarh

Sukma district of Chhattisgarh was formed on 1st January 2012. The total number of districts in the state has risen to 27 from 18 following the creation of Sukma, Kondagaon, Gariaband, Baloda Bazar, Mungeli, Balod, Bemetara, Surajpur and Balrampur.
A year before the 2008 Assembly elections in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party regime, led by Raman Singh, created two new districts -- Kanker and Narayanpur - by bifurcating the Naxalism-affected Bastar and Dantewada districts. Hope this new distict will help people in Chhattisgarh to make life easy and access govt. facilities easy as that comes to peoples near.
